(My Sportsbook) - The
Sacramento Kings kick off a four-game road trip Friday aiming to build on their first win in two weeks when they face the
Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Kings snapped a six-game skid Tuesday in Sacramento when Kevin Martin returned from a 10-game absence due to a balky left ankle to collect a team- high 20 points and five rebounds, as the Kings blew a big early lead but held on to edge the Los Angeles Clippers, 92-90, at ARCO Arena.
Brad Miller scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Sacramento. John Salmons also chipped in 15 points and Beno Udrih added 13.
The Kings, who are a dismal 2-13 on the road, will also face Indiana, New Jersey and Chicago on their trip.
Meanwhile, the streaking Pistons will be attempting to finish a three-game homestand with a perfect record.
Detroit won its fifth straight overall on Wednesday when Tayshaun Prince finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists, as the Pistons held on for an 83-75 win over the New Jersey Nets at The Palace.
Allen Iverson added 19 points, four boards and four assists for Detroit, which improved to 11-5 in Auburn Hills. Rodney Stuckey ended with 11 points and Arron Afflalo had 10 in the win for the Pistons, who again played without star guard Richard Hamilton, who missed his third consecutive game with a groin injury.
Hamilton along with big men Rasheed Wallace (sore right foot) and Antonio McDyess (bruised ribs) are questionable for tonight's game.
The Pistons snapped a two-game skid to the Kings with a 100-92 win in Sacramento on November 11.
