Wisconsin held a small edge early on, but pulled ahead with a nine-point burst in the first half. Landry started it with a layup, and Rob Wilson ended it with a three-point play to give the Badgers a 20-9 advantage almost seven minutes into the contest. The visitors' lead hovered around 10 points the rest of the half, and Jordan Taylor's basket with eight seconds left put Wisconsin up 42-31 at the intermission.
The Badgers continued to hold the Wolverines at bay, and Landry's bucket with 13 1/2 minutes left in the contest stretched his team's advantage to 58-42.
Michigan got back within single digits when a Manny Harris basket with just over three minutes left got the Wolverines within 64-55. But Landry answered with a field goal of his own, as Michigan didn't pose a serious challenge down the stretch, and Wisconsin held on for the win.
