Chapel Hill, NC (My Sportsbook) - Tyler Hansbrough scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to pace top-ranked North Carolina to a 97-75 win over Rutgers. Ty Lawson had 19 points and Danny Green contributed 18 points for the Tar Heels (12-0), who have won all of their games this season by double digits, extending a school record. Mike Rosario had 26 points to lead Rutgers (9-4), which had a four-game winning streak broken. Corey Chandler had 14 points, Anthony Farmer 12 and JR Inman 11 in defeat. Already ahead 52-38 at the half, the Tar Heels expanded on their advantage in the first five minutes. Hansbrough's jam made it a 65-46 margin with under 15 minutes remaining. UNC stayed comfortably in front the rest of the night. Hansbrough accounted for the game's first five points, but Chandler's three- ball had the Scarlet Knights within 13-12. A layup from Green extended the difference to 32-21 at the halfway point, but Rutgers rallied for the next seven points. Later in the half, UNC ran off nine consecutive points. Game Notes Carolina holds a 10-1 record in the series against Rutgers.
