Sunrise, FL (My Sportsbook) - Tomas Vokoun made 27 saves to record his second consecutive shutout and 28th whitewashing of his career, as the surging Florida Panthers blanked the Nashville Predators, 3-0, at the BankAtlantic Center. Rookie Michael Frolik scored twice for the Panthers, who are 8-2-1 over their last 11 games. Pekka Rinne turned in a stellar performance for Nashville, stopping 40 shots in a losing cause. Following a scoreless opening stanza, Frolik, the 10th overall pick in the 2006 draft, put Florida on the board with 6:48 to play in the middle period, accepting Nick Boynton's cross-ice pass and rifling a low shot from the left circle past Rinne. Cory Stillman lit the lamp with 4:32 left in the third period to provide some breathing room for the Cats, and Frolik added an empty-net marker in the waning seconds. Game Notes Vokoun played eight seasons in Nashville (1998-2007)...The Preds have dropped five of their last seven games...Nashville has lost its last four on the road and is 7-10-2 as the visiting club this year...Florida is 8-4-2 at home.
