Huntington, WV (My Sportsbook) - Miami-Ohio defensive coordinator Jon Wauford was led away in handcuffs after Tuesday night's game against Marshall following an alleged altercation with a fan. The RedHawks had just been defeated, 36-34, on a late touchdown by the Thundering Herd. There were fans celebrating on the field after Marshall quarterback Stan Hill scored on a one-yard run with five seconds left in the contest. Wauford allegedly shoved a fan, who fell and hit his head on the turf. The coach was then led away in handcuffs by police and charged with battery, a misdemeanor. After being transported to Cabell County Magistrate Court, Wauford posted an undisclosed amount for bail. The fan was taken off the field on a stretcher to St. Mary's Medical Center where he was initially listed in stable condition.
