(My Sportsbook) - The woeful
Minnesota Timberwolves aim to snap an 11-game skid Saturday when they welcome the
Houston Rockets to Target Center.
Cleveland's LeBron James posted 32 points, as the Cavaliers used a strong fourth quarter to post a 93-70 victory over the Wolves in Minnesota on Wednesday.
Al Jefferson had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who continued to slide with their 11th straight loss, including six straight under Kevin McHale, who stepped down from the front office to mentor the team after Randy Wittman was fired.
Mike Miller added 14 points and seven rebounds, while Kevin Ollie and Craig Smith each posted 12 points in the loss as Minnesota fell to a miserable 2-10 at Target Center.
The Rockets, who are kicking off a four-game road trip tonight, won their second straight game on Friday when Yao Ming had 30 points and Luis Scola chipped in 23 and 10 rebounds to lead Houston past the hapless Sacramento Kings, 107-96.
Tracy McGrady ended with 18 points and eight assists for the Rockets, who have won four of their last five games overall. Aaron Brooks gave 10 points and five helpers.
Ron Artest, who was acquired by the Rockets from the Kings on August 14 after two-plus seasons in Sacramento, scored nine points with four boards and three assists in facing his former team for the first time.
Houston, which is 8-6 on the road, will also visit New Jersey, Cleveland and New Orleans on its trip.
The Timberwolves lost all three of their games with the Rockets last season and have dropped four straight overall against Houston.
