(My Sportsbook) - The reeling
Sacramento Kings resume a four-game road trip in the Big Easy Saturday when they face the
New Orleans Hornets.
The Kings fell to 0-2 on the trip Friday in Houston when Yao Ming had 30 points and Luis Scola chipped in 23 and 10 rebounds to lead the Rockets past Sacramento, 107-96.
John Salmons had 26 points for the Kings, who have lost four of their last five games. Bobby Jackson tallied 19 points and Brad Miller 17 and 11 boards in the loss.
Sacramento, which is a dismal 2-11 as the visitor, will finish the trip with a visit to San Antonio.
The Hornets, meanwhile, won their third straight on Wednesday when Chris Paul scored 19 points, dished out 12 assists and recorded three steals to not only lead the Hornets to a 90-83 victory over the San Antonio Spurs but set the NBA record for most consecutive games with a steal.
Paul swiped the ball with 3:05 left in the second quarter, giving him a steal in 106 consecutive games. He passed former Spurs player Alvin Robertson, who had set the record from November 1985-December 1986. All-time great Michael Jordan is third on the list with 77 consecutive contests with a swipe.
David West tallied 21 points and nine rebounds for the Hornets, who have won six of seven and improved to 8-3 in the Big Easy.
Rasual Butler had 13 points, while Tyson Chandler recorded 10 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.
New Orleans will be aiming to avenge at ugly 105-96 home loss to the Kings on November 19, a game which acted as a wakeup call for the Hornets. New Orleans is a gaudy 10-2 since that game and 5-0 at New Orleans Arena.
