Vancouver, BC (My Sportsbook) - Daniel Sedin scored twice and picked up an assist, leading the Vancouver Canucks to a 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in a Northwest Division tussle at GM Place.

Jannik Hansen registered a goal and an assist for the Canucks, who have won three of their last four games. Curtis Sanford made 22 saves to collect the win.

In an emotional pre-game ceremony, the Canucks bestowed the ultimate honor on former captain Trevor Linden, raising his No. 16 to the rafters of General Motors Place. One of the most beloved and iconic players to ever suit up for the Canucks, Linden is just the second player in team history to have his number retired, joining Stan Smyl (No. 12).

Dustin Penner and Sam Gagner scored for the Oilers, who have lost three of four, including a 9-2 thrashing at home at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday. Dwayne Roloson was beaten three times on 27 shots in defeat.

Following a scoreless first period, Sedin lit the lamp twice in the middle stanza, sandwiched around a Ryan Kesler tally, and Vancouver held a 3-0 advantage through 40 minutes of play.

The Canucks capitalized on a two-man advantage to open the scoring. Sedin's bid from in close was stopped, but Edmonton defenseman Steve Staios drilled the Swede into Roloson and the puck slid across the goal line at the 1:14 mark.

Kesler found the back of the cage at 3:51 and Sedin gave the home squad a three-goal edge late in the frame. From behind the net, Hansen dished to the far side of the goal for Sedin, who ripped a shot that beat Roloson on the short side with 3:50 remaining.

Penner put the Oilers on the board 2:32 into the third period, and Gagner added a power-play marker with 1:29 left, but Hansen's empty-net goal in the final minute sealed the win for Vancouver.
