(My Sportsbook) - The Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils will meet for the second time in five days when the clubs tangle at HSBC Arena in western New York.

The Sabres defeated the Devils in Jersey on Saturday, notching a 4-2 decision at the Prudential Center. It was the fourth victory in five games overall for Buffalo and also gave the Sabres a 2-0 record against the Devils this season.

Buffalo has won three straight in this series after losing the previous three encounters. The Devils have also dropped two of their last three games at HSBC Arena.

Thomas Vanek scored two goals and Derek Roy added a goal and an assist to lift the Sabres to Saturday's victory in Newark. Drew Stafford also lit the lamp for Buffalo, while Patrick Lalime recorded 20 saves for the win.

Vanek leads the NHL with 24 goals this season and the Austrian sniper has collected six tallies over his last five games.

Tonight marks the first of two straight at home for the Sabres, who are 8-7-1 as the host this season. Buffalo will also welcome the Los Angeles Kings to HSBC on Friday.

The Devils played another game since losing the home test to the Sabres, as they dropped Tuesday's contest in Toronto. Jason Blake netted the game-winning shootout goal and Vesa Toskala had 25 regulation saves along with three shootout stops as the Maple Leafs bested Jersey, 3-2, at Air Canada Centre.

Mike Rupp and Zach Parise lit the lamp for New Jersey, which had a four-game winning streak halted Saturday and has now lost back-to-back tilts for the first time since a four-game losing streak from November 8-14.

Scott Clemmensen, who is now 8-4-0 as the primary replacement for the injured Martin Brodeur, stopped 25-of-27 regulation shots.

Tonight marks the end of a brief two-game road trip for the Devils, who are 7-4-2 as the visiting team this season.
