Frisco, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Dallas Stars announced on Thursday that they have placed veteran defenseman Sergei Zubov on injured reserve, retroactive to November 28, with a hip injury. Zubov, 38, has missed the last five games as he continues to recover from hip surgery, which caused him to miss all of training camp and the season's first 12 contests. A three-time All-Star, Zubov has recorded four assists in 10 games this season for a disappointing Dallas club. Coming off an appearance in the Western Conference finals, the Stars have plummeted to the bottom of the Pacific Division with a 10-13-4 mark. The highest-scoring Russian-born rearguard in NHL history, Zubov is the only blueliner in the league to record at least 30 assists in each of the last 12 seasons. For his career, Zubov has registered 152 goals and 771 points in 1,068 games with the Rangers, Penguins and Stars. In a corresponding move, the Stars recalled defenseman Dan Jancevski from Hamilton of the American Hockey League.
