Tampa Bay, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Tampa Bay Lightning recalled defenseman Jamie Heward from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, it was announced on Thursday. Heward has two assists in four games with the Lightning this season. He was signed as a free agent during the NHL preseason and has been recalled twice after being originally reassigned to Norfolk on Oct. 19. With the Admirals, Heward has six goals and 14 assists in 20 games. The Lightning also recalled center Zenon Konopka from the Admirals on emergency basis, it was announced late Wednesday. Konopka has scored seven goals and 14 assists in 27 games with Norfolk this season. In another move, the Tampa Bay signed 19-year-old forward Dana Tyrell to a standard three-year entry level contract on Thursday. "We are thrilled to sign a player of Dana's character and skill," Lightning General Manager Brian Lawton said. "His work ethic and character are symbolic of what we are looking for in players." Tyrell, who made his AHL debut with the Norfolk Admirals last year following the Western Hockey League season, has played in 30 games with the Prince George Cougars of the WHL this season, recording 19 goals and 40 points.
