New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - The NFL announced its final schedule for Week 16 and decided to move the game between the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants to prime time. The contest could determine the top seed in the NFC playoffs. The Giants have already clinched the NFC East and currently hold the No. 1 spot with a record of 11-2, but the NFC South-leading Panthers are just one game behind at 10-3 following their 38-23 victory over Tampa Bay on Monday night. It will mark the second straight NBC prime time game for the Giants, who are scheduled to face Dallas on Sunday night in Week 15. Tampa Bay and San Diego were originally slated to play the Sunday night game in Week 16, but the league has now slotted it for a 1 p.m. (et) start at Raymond James Stadium and switched the network to CBS. In addition, games between Atlanta and Minnesota and Philadelphia and Washington were switched from 1 p.m. (et) starts to 4:15 p.m. Both games will remain on FOX. The league utilizes its "flexible scheduling" on Sundays from Week 11 through Week 17, trying to ensure quality matchups in all time slots for NBC, FOX and CBS. Week 17's final schedule likely won't be revealed until Monday, December 22.
