(My Sportsbook) - The Montreal Canadiens will shoot for their longest winning streak since the early stages of this season when they welcome the New Jersey Devils for a battle at the Bell Centre.

The Canadiens have won three in a row and can record their first four-game winning streak since posting five straight victories from October 11-20. Montreal's winning streak coincides with the start of a franchise-record seven-game homestand.

New Jersey has also been hot recently, earning wins in six of their last seven games.

The Devils had won nine straight against the Habs before Montreal took the final three encounters last season. New Jersey has still won six of its last 11 trips to the Bell Centre.

Montreal's latest victory came in the form of a blowout win over the Eastern Conference-leading New York Rangers. Maxim Lapierre, Steve Begin and Matt D'Agostini each had a goal and an assist to lift the Habs to a 6-2 decision over the visiting Blueshirts.

Alex Tanguay, Robert Lang and Andrei Kostitsyn each lit the lamp for the Canadiens, who are 8-2-2 so far this season at the Bell Centre.

Georges Laraque and Andrei Markov each had two assists for the Canadiens, while Carey Price faced just 20 shots, stopping 18 of them.

The Devils, meanwhile, rebounded from last Saturday's 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh to record a comeback victory in Philadelphia on Thursday. Patrik Elias scored with 90 seconds left in regulation, then scored at the 2:46 mark of overtime to give New Jersey a 3-2 win over its rivals.

In the extra session, Elias took a pass from Brian Gionta, slipped by his defender and then slid a backhander between the pads of Martin Biron for the win.

Zach Parise scored the other goal while Scott Clemmensen made 29 saves for the Devils.

Gionta extended his point streak to eight games and now has five goals and six assists during the tear. His 20 points this season is third on New Jersey behind only Zach Parise and Elias.

Tonight's test marks the end of a five-game road trip for the Devils, who are 3-1-0 on the swing and 6-4-1 as the visiting club this season.
