Barcelona, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Espanyol skipper Raul Tamudo is set to be sidelined for around two months due to a hamstring injury. The 31-year-old Spain international striker suffered his injury in the 1-0 home defeat by Sporting Gijon at the weekend, having to be replaced early on in the second half of the loss. Doctor Ignacio Sitges told the club's official website: "He will be around eight weeks out, although we will have to wait and see how his injury evolves. "He will have a new test in a couple of weeks to evaluate how the injury has evolved." Tamudo has spent the whole of his career to date with the Barcelona club, scoring well over 100 goals in more than 300 league appearances for Espanyol.
