New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers kick returner Clifton Smith were chosen as the NFC's top players for the month of November.

Manning was named offensive player of the month after leading the Giants to a 5-0 record in November, with the team scoring an NFL-best 161 points in those five games. Manning completed 93-of-148 passes for 1,036 yards with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions for a passer rating of 94.9. Playing in his fifth year since being drafted first overall out of Ole Miss, this is Manning's first career Player of the Month Award.

Peppers was selected as the defensive player of the month after leading the NFL with seven sacks, as well as being tied for the league lead with three forced fumbles during the month of November, as the Panthers went 3-1 during that stretch. Peppers tallied 19 tackles and had three multi-sack games in November, including three sacks in the November 9 game at Oakland, tying a franchise record. This is the third career Player of the Month Award for the North Carolina product, the most in franchise history.

Smith was selected for the special teams award after returning 11 punts for 199 yards (18.1 average) and 16 kickoffs for 498 yards (31.1 average). He returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown in Week 9 against Kansas City and took a punt back 70 yards for a score three weeks later against Detroit.
