Barcelona, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Espanyol has wasted little time in appointing a new coach after turning to Jose Manuel Esnal "Mane" on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after parting company with Bartolome Marquez. Mane, 58, has been handed a contract until the end of the season and has been charged with moving the Barcelona-based club away from the foot of the La Liga table. Marquez was fired after Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Sporting Gijon left the club facing a relegation battle. "I am here because there has been a fall in results and to try and halt the slide," said former Lleida, Mallorca, Alaves Levante and Athletic Bilbao coach Mane.
