Nijmegen, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Lasse Schone and Jhonny van Beukering each had two goals as NEC hammered last-place Volendam, 6-1, on Sunday in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Schone started the onslaught in the ninth minute and finished the rout in the 63rd. Ramon Zomer and Saidi Ntibazonkiza also scored for NEC, which led 5-0 at halftime and 6-0 after Schone's second goal.

NEC won its sixth match of the season, and moved within seven points of leaders AZ. Volendam has just seven points from 13 matches.

Also Sunday, Rydell Poepon scored twice to lead Sparta to a 4-0 win over NAC, Roy Makaay scored in the third minute of Feyenoord's 1-1 draw with Vitesse and Ajax got a goal from Miralem Sulejmani in the 61st to tie Utrecht 1-1.
