Lubbock, TX (My Sportsbook) - Graham Harrell threw two touchdown passes, including a four-yard score to Detron Lewis with 6:14 remaining in regulation, as seventh-ranked Texas Tech overcame a lethargic start and scored the final 21 points to overtake pesky Baylor, 35-28.

Harrell, a finalist for the Maxwell Award, given annually to the nation's best all-around player, completed 41-of-50 passes for 309 yards and had an interception for the Red Raiders (11-1, 7-1 Big 12), who clinched at least a share of the Big 12 South title.

If Oklahoma defeats Oklahoma State on Saturday, the South title will be determined by the BCS standings. If OSU wins, Texas Tech will capture the division crown. The Big 12 North is already decided with Missouri slated to participate in the conference championship on December 6.

Lewis finished with 68 yards on nine receptions, while peerless Michael Crabtree made nine grabs for 63 yards before leaving in the second quarter with a right ankle injury.

Baron Batch had two rushing scores for Texas Tech, which was steamrolled by the Sooners, 65-21, last week in Norman, Oklahoma.

"The first half was kind of a disaster, and it's one we are all embarrassed by," said Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach. "It's not one we ever want to be a part of, but it happens sometimes in sport. The second half was a great team effort."

Robert Griffin ran for a pair of touchdowns and threw for another score, as Baylor (4-8, 2-6) wrapped up the regular season by losing five of its last six games. Griffin gained 99 yards on the ground and finished with 91 yards on 12- of-15 passing, including a costly interception in the fourth quarter that led to the winning touchdown.

Trailing 28-14, Shannon Woods' one-yard TD run answered the one-yard score by Jacoby Jones. Texas Tech then began its second series of the third quarter deep in its own territory with 2:53 showing on the clock. Pinned at his own five-yard line, Harrell guided the Red Raiders on a 12-play jaunt that extended into the final frame.

A critical offside penalty on 4th-and-3 at the Baylor 49 prolonged the drive, and Batch eventually banged it in from three yards out, tying the game at the 2:40 mark of the fourth quarter.

Brian Duncan picked off Griffin on the subsequent series, and Texas Tech reclaimed the lead when Harrell found Lewis for a four-yard score.

Baylor moved the ball across midfield on its next possession, but Griffin was sacked on fourth down and the Red Raiders ran out the remaining time.

"You can't continually stop them," said Baylor head coach Art Briles. "What you got to do is keep punching back because they are going to get some punches in. We had a couple unfortunate things that happened to us in the end and it didn't happen."

Texas Tech took the opening kickoff and Eric Morris hauled in a six-yard pass from Harrell for an early 7-0 lead. Baylor immediately countered with a 14- play drive that featured a pair of fourth-down conversions and culminated in a one-yard score by Griffin.

Harrell was intercepted on Texas Tech's next series, and the Bears grabbed the lead four plays later when Griffin sprinted untouched into the end zone from 13 yards out. Ben Parks missed the extra point and Baylor led 13-7 with seven seconds remaining in the opening quarter.

Batch capped a 16-play, 72-yard drive that chewed up half of the second quarter with a one-yard touchdown run, restoring the advantage for the Red Raiders.

Baylor proceeded to move the ball to the Texas Tech 12, but the Bears' impressive drive went for naught, as Parks missed a 29-yard field goal with 1:39 to go in the first half, setting up a crazy finish.

Leon Freeman stripped the ball from Harrell on the second play of the ensuing series and Vincent Rhodes recovered the fumble for Baylor at the Texas Tech 16. The Bears advanced the ball to the six, where on 2nd-and-goal, Griffin tried to scamper to his right, but was denied. The freshman signal-caller reversed course before he was taken down inside the one. The ball, however, came out and rolled into the end zone. Fortunately, a Texas Tech player managed to swat the ball out of bounds, resulting in a touchback.

Following a video review, Baylor retained possession after it was determined that Griffin's left knee had touched the ground before losing the handle. He then floated a pass to a wide-open Ernest Smith on the next play, and a two- point conversion with a second left in the half gave the Bears a 21-14 lead.
