Leverkusen, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Bayern Munich moved into second place on Saturday after recording a 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen at Bay Arena. Luca Toni scored the first goal for Bayern in the 59th minute, while Miroslav Klose added a second goal eight minutes from time, allowing Bayern to head into Friday's top-of-the-table clash with Hoffenheim just three points behind the Bundesliga newcomers. The home side started brighter with Tranquillo Barnetta's cross in the 16th minute being headed off the crossbar by Henrique. Patrick Helmes then found an opening and fired into the side of the net, but Bayern created a good chance of its own right after, with Bastian Schweinsteiger forcing a good stop from Leverkusen goalkeeper Rene Adler. Schweinsteiger again made Adler come up with a good save right before halftime, but Bayern finally found the opener after the restart. Franck Ribery played Ze Roberto into space down the wing, and his cross found the head of Toni, who nodded the ball home from five yards to put his team in front. Adler made another nice stop on Ribery in the 77th minute to keep his team close, but he was unable to keep out Klose five minutes later, when the striker dashed into the box after taking a pass from Ribery and fired into the bottom left corner of the net. Hoffenheim held serve ahead of the Bayern showdown with a comfortable 3-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld as Vedad Ibisevic added to his league-leading goals total with his 17th on the season, Claudio Pizarro scored three times as Werder Bremen handed Eintracht a 5-0 defeat, while Energie moved out of the drop zone with a 3-1 win over Monchengladbach and Hannover got a pair of goals from Mike Hanke in a 3-2 triumph over Karlsruhe.
