Munich, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has hit out at Michael Ballack for reviving his recent row with international coach Joachim Low. Ballack held clear the air talks with an angry Low earlier in the month following his criticism of the coach's treatment of some of the experienced members of the Germany squad. The Germany captain suggested Low had shown a lack of respect to players of the standing of Torsten Frings after leaving him out of recent starting lineups without offering an explanation. Speaking on German television this week, the Chelsea midfielder claimed his comments were intentional and aimed to 'shake a few people up' in an interview which stunned Beckenbauer. "I am speechless," he said. "I thought the whole issue had been dealt with. "It would be terrible if this whole issue turned into a never-ending story." However, Low has refused to reopen the debate, after telling Bild: "Michael has the right to express his opinion." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
