LeBron and Cavs aim to stay perfect at home vs. lowly Thunder

(My Sportsbook) - Superstar LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will try to stay unbeaten at home tonight when they welcome the lowly Oklahoma City Thunder to Quicken Loans Arena.

The Cavaliers are 7-0 as the host so far this season and owe much of the credit to James, who currently leads the NBA with 28.9 points per game. Cleveland has won two straight and 10 of its last 11 games, and improved to 11-3 on the season after Tuesday's 119-101 victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

James scored 26 points in three quarters of play and finished 7-of-14 from the field for the Cavs, who held a 29-point lead going into the final 12 minutes. The four-time All-Star played well in New York despite the rumors that the Knicks are allegedly interested in his services in the summer of 2010. Delonte West added 16 points and Wally Szczerbiak scored 15 in a winning cause.

Cleveland will also host Golden State on its short homestand.

Oklahoma City has lost 12 in a row and is only 1-14 on the season. In Tuesday's 99-98 setback to the Phoenix Suns at the Ford Center, Matt Barnes' three-pointer with 21 seconds remaining put Phoenix ahead for good.

Kevin Durant dropped a game-high 29 points while Chris Wilcox had 18 off the bench for Oklahoma City, which started the Scott Brooks era with a 109-97 loss to the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday.

Brooks was named interim head coach prior to Saturday's game after P.J. Carlesimo was fired earlier in the day following an abysmal 1-12 start to the Thunder's inaugural season.

The Thunder are 0-6 as the visitor this season.

Cleveland and Seattle/Oklahoma City split a pair of meetings last season, but the Thunder have won two of three and five of the past eight meetings. The Cavs are unbeaten in the past three contests as the host in this series.
