Gelsenkirchen, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Coach Fred Rutten has called on Schalke fans to stop giving striker Kevin Kuranyi a hard time. The out-of-sorts Germany international was jeered by the Arena AufSchalke crowd after missing two gilt-edged chances during Saturday's 3-1 victory over Monchengladbach. Kuranyi has been the subject of abuse following his decision to walk out on the Germany squad at halftime during a World Cup qualifier last month after being left out of the side. "We cannot lay everything on the shoulders of Kevin," said Rutten. "It could be that I'm seeing things different than the fans but I thought Kevin played well. "He had a helping hand in both of Halil Altintop's goals by pulling away defenders with his tireless running. "His substitution had nothing to do with him not scoring.
