Munich, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has vowed to fight to keep in-demand midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger at Bayern Munich. The Germany international is out of contract at the Allianz Arena at the end of the season and has already been linked with a free transfer switch to Real Madrid and Juventus. However, Rummenigge insists the Bundesliga champions will pull out all the financial stops in a bid to keep him at the club. "Bastian belongs to Bayern. He has become great here," he said. "We will fight for him and go up to the limit of what is feasible in order to keep him. "It is clear to us that the interest in a free Germany international is very big. We cannot help that there will be talks. "We simply do not have the financial means from TV marketing like for example Real Madrid." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
