Boston, MA (My Sportsbook) - Patrice Bergeron picked up a goal and one assist as Boston topped Florida, 4-2, at TD Banknorth Garden. Marc Savard added a goal and a helper for the Bruins, winners in three straight and eight of nine. David Krejci and Phil Kessel also scored while Tim Thomas stopped 30 shots for the win. David Booth and Ville Peltonen scored for the Panthers, who have lost three of four. Tomas Vokoun allowed all four goals on 39 shots. Kessel put the Bruins on the board 2:46 into the contest, then Booth equalized for the Panthers at 8:01. Bergeron followed just past the midway point of the period to put the home team up by one, then Krejci's fifth of the season boosted the B's to a 3-1 edge 7:43 into the second period. Savard added a power-play marker at 9:26 for a 4-1 lead, and the Bruins withstood brief charges by the visitors until Peltonen drew Florida within a pair with 3:06 left in regulation. The Panthers gambled by calling Vokoun to the bench with more than two minutes to go but were unable to solve Thomas.
