(My Sportsbook) - The Atlanta Hawks will try regain their early-season form when they open a short two-game homestand tonight versus the Washington Wizards at Philips Arena. The Hawks opened the 2008-09 campaign with six straight wins before dropping their last four games, including Tuesday's 113-96 setback to the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse. Joe Johnson ended with 25 points and seven rebounds for Atlanta, which will also welcome Charlotte to town. Marvin Williams scored 14 points while Mike Bibby and Maurice Evans added 13 points apiece in the loss. Center Al Horford played less than seven minutes in Indy and is questionable for Wednesday's game with a sprained right ankle. Washington is only 1-7 on the season and has dropped two in a row since its only win on November 12 versus Utah. In Tuesday's 94-87 defeat to the Miami Heat at the Verizon Center, Antawn Jamison had 25 points and 12 boards in a losing cause. Caron Butler scored 21 points and grabbed 12 boards for the Wizards, who will try for their first road win (0-4) of the season on Wednesday. The Wizards and Hawks split four meetings in 2007-08, but Washington has won three of five and five of the past eight encounters. Atlanta is winless in the past three games as the host in this series.
