(My Sportsbook) - The Dallas Mavericks will shoot for back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they resume a three-game road trip tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats at Time Warner Cable Arena. Dallas ended a five-game losing streak with Sunday's 124-114 overtime win against the New York Knicks in the opener of the trek at Madison Square Garden. Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 39 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Mavericks, who are 3-3 on the road in 2008-09. Josh Howard added season-highs of 31 points and 14 boards while Jason Terry registered 20 points off the bench in the victory. Dallas will close out the trek against the rival Houston Rockets on Wednesday. The Bobcats will wrap up a six-game homestand versus the Mavs on Tuesday and are 2-3 so far on the residency. Charlotte dropped its third game in four tries following Sunday's 90-85 loss to the Orlando Magic. Gerald Wallace scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Bobcats, who fell to 3-4 at home this season. Raymond Felton and Adam Morrison each scored 14 points in defeat. Bobcats guard D.J. Augustin is probable for Tuesday's game due to a toe injury. Dallas won both meetings with the Bobcats last year to improve to 8-0 in the all-time series. Charlotte has been held to under 100 points in every meeting.
