(My Sportsbook) - The Phoenix Coyotes will try to keep heading in the right direction when they visit the Vancouver Canucks tonight at General Motors Place.

The Coyotes began the season on a two-game winning streak, but haven't strung together consecutive victories since then. Phoenix, which is an even 5-5-0 on the year, has won two of three and three of its last five outings.

After losing a home test to Minnesota on Saturday, the Coyotes embarked on the current two-game Canadian trip that began with a win Tuesday evening in Calgary.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 27 saves and Ed Jovanovski's first goal of the season proved to be the game-winner in Phoenix's 4-2 victory over Calgary.

Shane Doan scored and recorded an assist, while Steven Reinprecht and Derek Morris added a goal apiece for the Coyotes.

Doan leads Phoenix in goals (7) and points (12) this season and has compiled three goals and five assists during an active four-game point streak.

The Coyotes are 2-3-0 as the visiting team this year and ended a three-game road losing streak in Tuesday's win at the Saddledome.

Vancouver has played solid hockey recently, winning three of its last four games and received a pair of shutouts from its star goaltender in that span.

Roberto Luongo blanked Los Angeles on October 30 and three games later he stopped all 24 shots in Tuesday's 4-0 win over visiting Nashville.

Kyle Wellwood had a pair of goals as Luongo recorded his third shutout of the year and 41st of his career.

Mason Raymond also had a goal for the Canucks, who have won four of their last six games overall. Daniel Sedin had a goal and an assist, while his twin brother Henrik had two assists, including his 300th career helper.

The Canucks are 1-1-0 so far on their longest homestand of the season, a six-game residency which will continue Saturday against Minnesota. Vancouver is 3-2-0 at GM Place this season.

Phoenix has taken two of the previous three matchups with the Canucks, but Vancouver has won six of nine overall in the series. However, the Coyotes are just 1-11 with a tie in the last 13 meetings at GM Place.
