Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - The Canadian Football League announced the 2008 West Division All-Star team on Monday, as voted upon by members of the Football Reporters of Canada. The British Columbia Lions garnered 13 mentions, more than any other fellow division member. Calgary's Henry Burris got the nod at quarterback, flanked by teammate Joffrey Reynolds and Saskatchewan's Wes Cates. B.C.'s Paris Jackson heads up the receiving corps along with fellow Lion Geroy Simon, followed by Edmonton's Kamau Peterson and Calgary's Ken-Yon Rambo. Honors at tackle featured a pair of British Columbia's best, Jason Jimenez and Rob Murphy. Patrick Kabongo (EDM) and Gene Makowsky (SSK) earned honors at guard while Calgary's Rob Lazeo picked up mention at center. Aaron Hunt (BC) and Dario Romero (EDM) got the nod at defensive tackle while Lions Cam Wake and Brent Johnson were tabbed at defensive end. B.C. had Javier Glatt honored at linebacker along with the Riders' Maurice Lloyd and Anton McKenzie. At cornerback, Brandon Browner (CAL) joined Donte Marsh (BC); defensive back honors came to Jason Goss (EDM) and Korey Banks (BC) and the Lions had Barron Miles take the honor at safety. On special teams, Stampeders kicker Sandro DeAngelis joined Lions punter Paul McCallum and return specialist Ian Smart.
