San Jacinto, CA (My Sportsbook) - The Nationwide Tour and the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians announced on Tuesday that a new event would be headed to the Nationwide Tour starting in 2009. The Soboba Classic will be staged at the Country Club at Soboba Springs. There are no specific dates, but the tournament is scheduled to tee it up in the fall. "We are very pleased to bring this world-class tournament to the region, which will help generate valuable national exposure to the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley area," said Soboba Tribal Chairman, Robert Salgado, Sr. The Soboba Classic will have a $1 million purse, making it one of three tournaments on next year's schedule with that much prize money. |
