Orchard Park, NY (My Sportsbook) - The Buffalo Bills placed linebacker John DiGiorgio on injured reserve Wednesday, officially ending his season. DiGiorgio suffered a torn ACL in his right knee on a punt return in the second quarter of Buffalo's 23-14 win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. The special teams contributor was carted off the field and will undergo surgery to repair the ligament. The third-year linebacker had 113 tackles, two sacks, and an interception in 16 games -- 14 starts -- for the Bills in 2007. DiGiorgio, who joined the club in 2006 as an undrafted free agent out of Saginaw Valley State, had three tackles this season in six games. Also on Wednesday the Bills promoted linebacker Marcus Buggs, an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt, from the practice squad.
