Frisco, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Dallas Stars placed defenseman Sergei Zubov on the injured reserve list Tuesday. The 38-year-old Zubov is out indefinitely while recovering from hip surgery. Injuries limited the veteran blueliner to only 46 games last season. He registered four goals and 31 assists to go along with a plus-six rating. Additionally, the club assigned defenseman Ivan Vishnevskiy to Peoria of the American Hockey League and released forward Konstantin Pushkarev. Dallas opens the 2008-09 regular season Friday against Columbus. |
