Sao Paulo, Brazil (My Sportsbook) - Brazilian defender Roque Junior will be returning home after Palmeiras confirmed that the club has signed the Brazil international from Qatari side Al-Rayyan until the end of the season. The 32-year-old spent five years at the club from 1995 through 2000, and he was pursued by Palmeiras coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo after the team lost defenders Jeci and David to long-term injuries. Roque Junior will be unveiled on Thursday and he is expected to be ready for first-team action as soon as this weekend. He was a member of Brazil's 2002 World Cup winning side and has won 48 caps for his country.
