Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Matthew LeCroy delivered a pinch-hit grand slam in the ninth inning, lifting the Minnesota Twins to a 6-5 come-from-behind victory over Toronto in the rubber match of a three-game series at SkyDome. LeCroy's blast off Terry Adams came after the Blue Jays had taken a 5-2 lead in the seventh. The blast made a winner out of Aaron Fultz (2-1), who tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief. Joe Nathan recorded the final three outs for his 13th save. Jose Offerman knocked in the other two Minnesota runs with a double in the sixth inning that tied the game at 2-2. Vernon Wells was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored for the Blue Jays, who have dropped six of nine. Gregg Zaun and Josh Phelps added two hits and an RBI apiece for Toronto.

Final Score: Chicago 15, Cleveland 3

Cleveland, OH (My Sportsbook) - Frank Thomas went 3-for-4 and drove in five runs to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 15-3 rout of the Cleveland Indians in the rubber match of a three-game series at Jacobs Field. Paul Konerko helped out with four RBI to give the White Sox their third win in four contests. Chicago pounded out 18 hits on the way to its highest offensive output in Cleveland since a 17-0 triumph on July 5, 1987. Starter Scott Schoeneweis (4-1) improved his unbeaten streak to seven games after yielding three runs on five hits and five walks with six strikeouts in six innings of work. Indians starter Jason Davis (1-3) was dealt the loss after failing to make it out of the third inning. He gave up five runs on eight hits in just 2 2/3 innings, while walking one and striking out two. Victor Martinez had a solo homer for Cleveland, losers of back-to-back games after a season-long five-game win streak.

Final Score: Boston 4, Tampa Bay 1

St. Petersburg, FL (My Sportsbook) - Curt Schilling tossed seven strong innings as the Boston Red Sox topped the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 4-1, in the second of a three-game set at Tropicana Field. Schilling (5-3) yielded just one run on five hits. He walked only one and fanned five to increase his AL- leading strikeout total to 61. Keith Foulke recorded the final four outs for his eighth save. Manny Ramirez belted a two-run homer and Johnny Damon added a solo shot to help the Red Sox to their fourth win in five games. Rob Bell (0-1), called up from Triple-A Durham to make his season debut, absorbed the loss after five innings of work. He surrendered four runs on five hits and three walks with a pair of strikeouts. Tino Martinez drove in the lone run with an RBI double for Tampa Bay, losers of five straight and 12 of 13.

Final Score: Kansas City 5, Texas 3

Arlington, TX (My Sportsbook) - Juan Gonzalez smacked a three-run homer to lead Kansas City to a 5-3 win over Texas in the second of a three-game series at Ameriquest Field. Angel Berroa and Ken Harvey also homered for the Royals, who posted their second straight victory despite just four hits. Jimmy Gobble (2-2) allowed three runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings to earn the win for Kansas City. Justin Huisman allowed one hit in two shutout frames for the first save of his career. Hank Blalock finished with two hits, including a homer, for the Rangers, who have lost three straight and five of six.

Final Score: Oakland 6, Detroit 2

Oakland, CA (My Sportsbook) - Bobby Kielty finished 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and four RBI, leading the Oakland Athletics to a 6-2 win over the Detroit Tigers in the second of a three-game series at the Coliseum. Jermaine Dye homered and Eric Byrnes pounded out three hits with two runs scored for Oakland, which has won four of its last five games. The Athletics also improved to 21-7 versus Detroit since the start of the 2001 season. Craig Monroe and Omar Infante both drove in runs for Detroit, which had its two-game winning streak halted.

Final Score: Baltimore 5, Seattle 2

Seattle, WA (My Sportsbook) - Erik Bedard worked into the seventh to post his first career victory and lead Baltimore to a 5-2 win over Seattle in the second of a three-game series at Safeco Field. Bedard (1-1), who struck out a career-high seven, allowed two runs on four hits in 6 2/3 innings for the Orioles, who earned their third straight victory. Jorge Julio worked a scoreless ninth for his seventh save. Luis Matos finished with three hits, including a homer, for Baltimore. Jay Gibbons also homered. Dan Wilson posted two hits for the Mariners, who have lost three straight and nine of 10. Ichiro Suzuki went 0-for-3 and had his 16-game hitting streak snapped.

Final Score: New York 4, Anaheim 2

Anaheim, CA (My Sportsbook) - Jon Lieber pitched into the eighth inning and Derek Jeter drew a bases-loaded walk to snap a sixth-inning tie, as the New York Yankees earned a 4-2 victory over the Anaheim Angels. Jason Giambi returned to the lineup after a two-game absence because of back spasms and belted a two-run homer for New York, which won for the 15th time in their last 20 games. Lieber (3-1), who won for the third time in his four outings, gave up two runs on seven hits. David Eckstein went 3-for-3 for the Angels, who lost for just the fourth time in their last 17 games.
