=== Arizona Diamondbacks Team Report - May 19 === (My Sportsbook) - Following Randy Johnson in a rotation is usually enough pressure alone, but after last night's performance by the Big Unit, Brandon Webb will have a big weight on his shoulders. Johnson mowed down all 27 batters he faced for his spot in baseball history with his first career perfect game as Arizona won 2-0. At 40 years old, the lefthander became the oldest pitcher to ever throw a perfect game. What was even more daunting is that Johnson struck out 13 and threw 117 pitches, with 87 of them strikes. This was the first perfect game since David Cone did it for the New York Yankees against Montreal on July 18, 1999. It was also the first one in the National League since July 28, 1991, when the Expos' Dennis Martinez accomplished the feat against the Dodgers. The Diamondbacks started their season-high 13-game road trip on a high note, snapping a five-game skid and a victory tonight would give them a series win for just the second time this month. Arizona took two of three from the Cubs May 3-6 at Wrigley Field. Webb has lost two straight starts and is winless in his last three outings. The righthander is coming off a defeat to the Mets on Thursday when he threw 6 1/3 innings. Webb gave up five runs -- four earned -- and his current 3.38 ERA this year is the highest of his career. Webb has faced the Braves just once before in his career and that came May 2, 2003 when he limited Atlanta to a run over seven innings, but didn't get a decision. Chad Tracy had two hits with an RBI, while Alex Cintron went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored last night for the Diamondbacks. Arizona totaled eight hits.
