Lawrence, KS (My Sportsbook) - Todd Reesing completed 32-of-38 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Daymond Patterson, to lead 14th-ranked Kansas to a 29-0 romp over Louisiana Tech.

Patterson caught eight passes for 130 total yards, while Dezmon Briscoe had seven catches for 146 yards and a score for the Jayhawks (2-0), who won their 11th consecutive home game.

Angus Quigley was Kansas' leading rusher with 15 attempts for 84 yards.

"We have guys that can make plays at all the receiver spots, and at running back," Reesing said. "If the offensive line blocks like they did, then there is an opportunity for a lot of big plays out there."

Taylor Bennett was just 12-for-33 passing for 119 yards and an interception for the Bulldogs (1-1). Phillip Livas had two runs for 80 yards in the loss.

"We had a couple of opportunities early to put some points on the board and we didn't do it," Louisiana Tech head coach Derek Dooley said. "When you don't take advantage of opportunities against a good football team, then it is going to be a long night."

Jacob Branstetter started the scoring with a 28-yard field goal on the Jayhawks' opening drive, and Kansas held that three-point edge through the entire first quarter.

Louisiana Tech began a drive with 5:03 left in the first and kept it going through the start of the second. But the 22-play, 82-yard march that ate up nine minutes, 23 seconds of game clock was for naught as Bennett's throw from the six-yard line was intercepted by Chris Harris for a touchback.

Kansas then took advantage and went 80 yards in eight plays. Reesing completed a 29-yard pass to Briscoe, and found Kerry Meier for 16 yards before his touchdown pass -- a three-yarder to Patterson at the left edge of the end zone with 7:38 remaining. Another Branstetter field goal, from 25 yards out, gave the Jayhawks a 13-0 lead at intermission.

A Bulldogs punt early in the third quarter gave Kansas the ball on the LA Tech 48. Reesing's first throw went for a score, as he hooked up with Briscoe to make it a 20-0 contest.

After a missed field goal for the visitors, the Jayhawks regained possession and once more put points on the board -- this time with a 26-yard Branstetter kick.

The Bulldogs were forced to punt on their next possession, and Kansas capitalized with a three-play drive capped by Reesing's 39-yard connection with Patterson as 1:21 remained in the third quarter. The Branstetter point- after attempt was no good, leaving the Jayhawks with a 29-point lead.

Game Notes

Kansas has won 16 in a row at home against non-conference opponents...Reesing's 412-yard day was the third-best passing game in school history....Louisiana Tech had 148 net rushing yards compared to 126 for Kansas.
