Arlington, TX (My Sportsbook) - Texas Rangers catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia left Monday's contest against the Seattle Mariners in the fifth inning with a sore right elbow. The catcher fielded a ball that ricocheted off pitcher Matt Harrison's foot and threw awkwardly to first, hitting the ground in pain and leaving the field under his own power. Saltalamacchia was 0-for-1 at the plate and is now hitting .253 with three homers and 26 RBI in 60 games this year. Taylor Teagarden, who was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma before the game, replaced Saltalamacchia behind the plate and hit a three-run homer in the Rangers' 12-6 loss.
