Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - The New England Revolution and Toronto FC battled to a 1-1 draw at BMO Field on Saturday night in Major League Soccer action. With the draw, New England is now tied with the Columbus Crew at the top of the Eastern Conference table. Both teams have identical 11-6-4 after the Crew defeated Real Salt Lake on Saturday. With the point, Toronto moves a point up on Kansas City at the foot of the Eastern table ahead of the Wizards finish vs. FC Dallas on Saturday night. New England forward Taylor Twellman broke the stalemate in the 35th minute when he took a perfect cross from Chris Tierney on the left side and headed home for his fourth goal of the season and third in the last four games after coming back from ankle and knee injuries. Toronto got the equalizer in the 66th minute when winger Rohan Ricketts backed down Revs defender Chris Albright on the left side, pulled up and played a ball to the top of the box to Chad Barrett. Barrett took a touch with his back to goal, turned and fired a left-footed laser to the far post past a diving Doug Warren, who was making his second consecutive start for injured goalkeeper Matt Reis. New England continues its busy schedule with a mid-week CONCACAF Champions League preliminary round fixture before hosting the Los Angeles Galaxy next Saturday in its next league fixture while Toronto (7-9-4) plays at Chivas USA the same day.
