Aberdeen, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Aberdeen defender Alexander Diamond will be out of action for two weeks after picking up a leg injury during Saturday's victory at Motherwell, the club announced Tuesday. The 22-year-old defender missed the majority of the club's preseason with an unrelated injury and is now likely to be sidelined until September. "It's just an unlucky time for Zander. It's not the same injury that kept him out preseason." said manager Jimmy Calderwood. "Zander will probably miss the Rangers and St Mirren games but we have a week off after that so he should be available for the Hamilton game. "It's very annoying because it looked as though we had everyone fit." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
