Glasgow, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Rangers signed American international Maurice Edu from Major League Soccer club Toronto FC on Monday subject to a work permit. The 22-year-old Edu will join Rangers on a five-year contract after the Scottish side struck a $5 million deal with MLS. Edu has earned six caps for the United States and is currently preparing for a World Cup qualifier against Guatemala on Wednesday. The midfielder is expected to be one of three new additions at Ibrox this week, joining Pedro Mendes, who made a $5 million switch from Portsmouth, as well as Steven Davis, who is expected to be introduced on Tuesday after reaching an agreement to leave Fulham.
