Houston, TX (My Sportsbook) - The San Francisco Giants made a host of roster moves on Wednesday. The club purchased the contracts of catcher/infielder Pablo Sandoval and third baseman Ryan Rohlinger from Double-A Connecticut and recalled first baseman Travis Ishikawa from Triple-A Fresno. To clear room for the young trio, first baseman John Bowker and catcher Steve Holm were optioned to Fresno and infielder Jose Castillo was designated for assignment. Bowker batted .247 with nine home runs and 40 RBI in 96 games this season for the Giants. In 45 games, Holm hit . 256 (21-for-82) with one home run and five RBI. Castillo appeared in 112 games and sported a .244 batting average to go along with six home runs and 35 RBI.
