Motherwell, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Motherwell boss Mark McGhee has snapped up Celtic winger Jim O'Brien and Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen. O'Brien, who has been on trial at Fir Park for the last month, has signed a two-year contract with the club while Nielsen arrives on a six-month loan deal. "I'm just delighted to be here," O'Brien told the Steelmen's official website. "The important thing for me just now is to play regular first-team football. "Obviously working under a manager like Mark McGhee is a big pull and all the guys have made me feel really welcome. "First-team football is what it's all about for me now. I've signed for two years and I want to establish myself in the team and make a name for myself and repay the club for having faith in me." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
