=== Buffalo Sabres Team Report - March 4 === (My Sportsbook) - Miroslav Satan scored the go-ahead goal on a power play in the third period and Chris Drury added two tallies, as the Buffalo Sabres skated past the Ottawa Senators 4-3 at HSBC Arena. Martin Biron stopped 31 shots for Buffalo, which snapped a four-game losing streak. Maxim Afinogenov added a goal for the Sabres, who are now 5-1-1 in their last seven home games. Satan also chipped in two assists in the triumph. After the Senators' Josh Langfeld was called for tripping at 10:36 the Sabres took advantage with the extra skater. Jochen Hecht gathered a loose puck in the Ottawa zone and fired a pass to Satan, who one-timed a low blast from just outside the right face off circle toward the net. The puck deflected off the back skate of Ottawa's Wade Redden and into the net, making it a 4-3 game with 7:45 remaining. Peter Bondra had a golden opportunity to get the equalizer for Ottawa with under a minute remaining. Biron, though, made a sprawling glove save at the doorstep to preserve the win. The Sabres, with 65 points, are ninth in the Eastern Conference -- eight back of the NY Islanders for the final playoff spot. Buffalo has not made the postseason since 2000-01, which was Dominik Hasek's last campaign with the team. Buffalo will visit Toronto on Saturday to begin a stretch that has it on the road for six of its next nine games.
