La Jolla, CA (My Sportsbook) - Perhaps one of the most enduring images of this year's Masters tournament was Brandt Snedeker pouring a week's worth of emotions into a towel. "I have no clue why I am so emotional," he said Sunday night after blowing a chance to win at Augusta. "To be here and have a chance to win my first major, and not pull it out ... hopefully I'll learn a lot about the process and be ready to go come the U.S. Open." Prophetic words almost two months ago to the date. On Saturday, Snedeker fired a three-under 68 and vaulted somewhat back into contention at the U.S. Open. He's in at four-over through three rounds and certainly is not completely out of this major championship. He bogeyed the first hole, but rattled off three birdies in a four-hole stretch from the third. Snedeker bogeyed seven, as he's done every round this week, but birdied 10 for the third time. An eagle at 13 got him noticed, but a bogey at 15 stalled his cause. Snedeker saved par from five feet at the last. Snedeker has a long way to go, especially if one Tiger Woods gets going. But he has played decently in another major championship and this could just be a precursor for things to come.
