London, England (My Sportsbook) - Tottenham assistant coach Gustavo Poyet has cooled reports linking the club with a move for Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o. Earlier in the month Spurs were linked with the 27-year-old Barcelona striker who seems certain to leave the Camp Nou this summer. However, Poyet insists Eto'o will not be coming to White Hart Lane, telling Spanish radio station Ona FM: "Samuel Eto'o is not a priority for our team. Moreover, we're not interested in him. "We'll be having a meeting next week to talk about signings, as we've already made one interesting one for next season." Tottenham landed Croatia international Luka Modric from Dinamo Zagreb in a deal worth nearly $30 million before the end of the 2007-08 campaign. Eto'o has spent the last four seasons with Barcelona, scoring 89 goals in 136 appearances for the Catalan giants. (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
