Tucker underwent successful surgery on Friday to repair a non displaced
fracture in his hip, the team announced on Saturday.
Tucker, who had the procedure performed by Dr. Anthony Miniaci at The
Cleveland Clinic, is expected to be ready to play at the start of the regular
season.
He left practice on Wednesday, the first day of organized team activities that
were open to the media, and later in the day head coach Romeo Crennel
announced that Tucker had a hip injury.
Since joining the team as a free agent in 2002, Tucker has appeared in 74
games and has started 70 of them. Over 11 seasons in the NFL, which included
his first five years with the Rams, he has appeared in 133 games with 101
starts.
