Tilburg, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Heerenveen jumped into fourth place and kept alive its hopes of qualifying for the Champions League playoffs on Saturday as they took care of Willem II in 3-2 fashion. Gerald Sibon broke a 2-2 deadlock for Heerenveen in the 74th minute, nine minutes after Rydell Poepon leveled the match for Willem II. Said Boutahar put Willem ahead 1-0, but Heerenveen took a 2-1 lead into halftime on goals from Danijel Pranjic and Roy Beerens. The loss leaves Willem II in the relegation zone, one point from safety with two games to play. Mohamed Messoudi set up the first goal inside of three minutes when he dropped the ball back to Boutahar, who finished from the top of the box. Heerenveen was back level in the 27th when Beerens was brought down inside the box and Pranjic converted from the spot, and Beerens then scored a goal of his own four minutes later. Willem was able to get back on level terms in the 65th when a Boutahar free kick found the head of Poepon, and he turned a header past Heerenveen goalkeeper Rob Van Dijk. However, Heerenveen would leave with all three points when Sibon's free kick found the top left corner of the net with 15 minutes to play. Twente moved into fourth place with a 1-0 win against Excelsior on Youssouf Hersi's goal in the 59th minute, while Vitesse scored three times in the second half to down Sparta 3-0.
