Rotterdam, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - After finishing a disappointing seventh place last season, Feyenoord entered this campaign with hopes of improving, but with just three games to play, the Rotterdam club sits in sixth place.
Generally regarded as the third club in the Netherlands behind PSV Eindhoven and Ajax, Feyenoord has not lived up to that label in recent years, but they would settle for a place in the top five and a shot at the Champions League qualifying playoffs.
Feyenoord is only three points out of third place and they will host Utrecht on Sunday with hopes of taking three points to keep the pressure on a crowded top five.
Fifth-place Heerenveen is level on 54 points with Feyenoord, and they will travel to Willem II on Saturday. Willem II will be fighting to get out of the relegation playoffs as they are just one point from safety. The team has earned four points from its last two games, but they finish out the season against three teams in the top six, making things difficult.
Twente is only one point ahead of both Feyenoord and Heerenveen, and they too play a team that is fighting to stay in the top flight. Twente will host last- place Excelsior on Saturday, but the cellar-dwellers are just three points from safety and will be trying to move up with a win.
Third-place NAC faces the toughest match of the top teams when they visit seventh-place Groningen. NAC is only three points behind second-place Ajax, which will host bottom-half club Graafschap on Sunday.
PSV owns a five-point lead over Ajax with three games to play and will have a chance to clinch the Eredivisie crown on Sunday with a win over Heracles and an Ajax loss.
Sparta visits Vitesse in the other game on Saturday, while relegation-battling Venlo hosts AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.
