New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - The suddenly slumping
Sacramento Kings hope to snap a two-game skid when they meet up with the winless
New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden Wednesday.
After opening the season with three straight wins, the Kings have suffered consecutive road losses to Miami and Orlando.
On Tuesday, the Magic outlasted Sacramento, 125-121, at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Sacramento received a well-balanced scoring attack from its starting five. Bobby Jackson played well down the stretch, finishing with 26 points for the Kings. Chris Webber added 23 points and nine assists in his first start since suffering a lower abdominal strain last Thursday.
Peja Stojakovic chipped in 22 for the Kings, who were 23-of-33 from the line for the game.
The Kings' roster was severely depleted. Mike Bibby (right foot) is on the IL, Mateen Cleaves is out with strained right plantar fascia, Hedo Turkoglu missed the game because of food poisoning, and Vlade Divac and Scot Pollard both sat out with back injuries.
Turkoglu, Divac and Pollard are all questionable for Wednesday's game.

New York fell to 0-4 with a 97-88 setback to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. Allan Houston scored 28 points and Kurt Thomas totaled 14 points and 16 rebounds for New York.
The Knicks' woes are also apparently having an affect on interest in the team. Attendance for the game Monday night was 18,100 -- about 1,600 short of capacity, ending a streak of 433 straight sellouts at Madison Square Garden. It was the first non-sellout at MSG since February 2, 1993, when 17,302 saw the Knicks beat the Washington Bullets.
The Kings and Knicks split two meetings last season, with the home team winning each game. However, Sacramento has dropped five straight and 18 of its last 19 at New York.
