Heerenveen, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Ajax manager Adrie Koster feels as though his team can start looking towards a battle for second place after his club suffered a damaging 2-1 loss to Twente last time out that allowed PSV Eindhoven to extend its lead to seven points with four games remaining. "We can start focusing on the playoffs," Koster said following last week's defeat. "This was the crucial match to keep the pressure on PSV. We knew what we had to do. We also had a good feeling about it, that we would keep the title race close. But in the first half it didn't happen, we were apathetic at times. A number of players were not really in the match. I cannot explain it." While Koster was understandably disappointed with his team following the loss, he must now get his side ready for a tough away contest against third-place Heerenveen. The game is expected to be an entertaining affair that pits the top-two scoring teams in the Eredivisie. Ajax enters the game just three points ahead of Heerenveen, Feyenoord and NAC, so another slip-up could cost them even further. Heerenveen has won its last three games in the league following a two-game losing skid, and they have three very winnable games to close out the season, putting even more pressure on the Amsterdam club. PSV will also be in action on Saturday as they travel to middle-of-the-table NEC with hopes of moving another step closer to their fourth consecutive league title. PSV needs to win just two of its final four games to ensure themselves of the crown. The other two matches on Saturday feature second-from-the-bottom Venlo traveling to last-place Excelsior while Heracles tries to move further away from the bottom three with a win against Roda. Top-five sides NAC and Feyenoord will meet up at Fujifilm on Sunday as both clubs continue to jockey for position ahead of the playoffs for European positions. Sixth-place Twente invades Utrecht, Sparta hosts Willem II and Vitesse hits the road to meet AZ Alkmaar.
