Amsterdam, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Heerenveen of the Dutch Eredivisie signed Norweigian Trond Sollied to a two-year contract to become coach July 1. Current Heerenveen coach Gert Jan Verbeek's contract runs out after the season and is in the running to take over Feyenoord. Feyenoord coach Bert Van Marwijk agreed earlier this month to coach the Netherlands. Sollied, 48, is currently with AA Gent in Belgium's top league. He previously coached Rosenborg, Club Bruges and Olympiakos. Heerenveen is currently third in the Dutch top division, three points behind second-place Ajax. |
